I was so excited to get home at a normal hour. I met my friends for dinner and drinks before heading home. Since I didn’t have a chance to cook this weekend I wanted to get home to prepare some home cooked meals for lunches for the week. What was on the menu you say? Well, I started with some baby potatoes that I roasted with some chives, salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. I also roasted some Brussels sprouts and tomatoes with some fresh herbs and then for the main dish, some BBQ chicken. The kitchen smelled amazing. Nothing like the aroma of dinner to fill a house. Now, if I were smart I would have turned the vent above the oven on. Alas, I was not that smart. So when I opened the oven I set off the fire alarm. I waved a towel at the alarm for what seemed like 30 minutes. I kept praying that it would turn off but it didn’t. I then decided to open all the windows, turn the exhaust fan on and then hook up a fan underneath the fire alarm. Well it finally shut off. So after about an hour, I packed up all the food for my lunches for the week and retired to the bedroom. Then, my fire alarm began beeping and explaining that it had a low battery. Just my luck!
I was going to attempt to go to the gym tomorrow morning, but I am so sore from my workout with JC this morning that I think I am going to take the morning off. Instead I am going to make myself a nice breakfast and watch the news like a grown up. I am getting excited that I will be leaving for LA in three weeks. I will be working out of my LA office for a few days and then attending a shareholders meeting. It will also give me a chance to show off my healthier fitter body and meet up with Diane and Marcus. I am looking forward to seeing their LA pad and meet their new puppies. Till tomorrow.
